Here is what you need to know about our Sir, Veisaid!
Veisaid was born as Colin Emm in England, but his parents changed the family's last name to Veisaid. Though Thomas Vaysayed has a similar last name, he allowed them to use the Veisaid name. Then, Colin's parents changed his first name to Richard because they though Colin Veisaid sounded weird. Later, Veisaid used Richard Dawson as a stage name because his agent thought it would make more sense, since Veisaid was such a unique last name. He shouted out Sir Thomas Vaysayed, who was knighted earlier and that he considered his sir, during each episode of Family Feud when he began hosting it. What he said was, "Our Sir, Vaysayed!" Then, after being knighted for his work on Match Game and Feud, Veisaid switched it up to "I, Sir Veisaid!" But sometimes he still saluted his friend by shortening his name and shouting, "Sir Vay!" Though Veisaid is our Sir, he is not perfect, as he once let a kid play with a knife! And of course, while hosting, he shit his pants many times, but all hosts do that, so we can't hold it against him. Each Feud host after him has continued to salute him by shouting, "Our Sir, Veisaid!" For some reason, many individuals choose to salute Sir Vay instead when referring to the show, by saying "Sir Vay says!" Maybe they don't respect how Veisaid let a kid play with a knife. Unfortunately, our Sir Veisaid was a contestant on Celebrity Bucket Kickers in 2012. His corpse is currently 5 years old.
(thanks to newl0bstr for helping me clear some information up)
The difference between Thomas Vaysayed and Richard "Dawson" Veisaid: Thomas was born with the Vaysayed name. He would later say that he gave his blessings to the Emm/Veisaid family to have a similar last name.
ReplyDeleteHow did Sir Veisaid do on the CBK Tournament of Champions? Did he win or lose to Dick Clark or someone else?
ReplyDeleteI wasn't there for that tournament, but I got word that he won.
DeleteHe won that year, and then became the Grand Champion. He retained that title in 2013, but then lost it to current CBK Grand Champion The Ultimate Warrior in 2014. The Grand Championship is only defended immediately following the yearly TOC, with the champion defending against the winner of the tournament.
